世界盃資格賽賽程亞洲 It was an unhappy night for Caltex Socceroos flyer Mat Leckie with his Hertha Berlin outfit suffering a disappointing loss in the Bundesliga.

Leckie was introduced off the bench with just over 15 minutes remaining but could do little as Berlin succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at home to 16th-placed Mainz.

Swedish attacker Robin Quaison netted in either half for the visitors.

Hertha have now won just one of their last six matches in the Bundesliga and remain in 11th spot on the ladder.

It doesn’t get any easier for Leckie’s side with Hertha away to German giants Bayern Munich next weekend.

 

Also in Germany, Robbie Kruse played 72 minutes as Bochum suffered a 1-0 loss away to Heidenheim in the 2.Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, former Roar flyer Brandon Borrello played a full 90 minutes as Kaiserslautern were beaten 1-0 at home to Sandhausen.

In England, Jackson Irvine got through 88 minutes as Hull City were beaten 4-0 by Chelsea in the FA Cup.

Willian scored twice for the hosts while Pedro and Olivier Giroud also got on the scoresheet.
